The Forest Hotel, based in Dorridge, is pleased to announce the launch of their brand new wood fired menu, just in time to warm up the cold winter months. Our directors Richard and Sam visited the contemporary restaurant to taste the exciting new cuisine offered at the popular venue. 


The Forest Hotel is a landmark in the beautiful town of Dorridge, renowned for its excellent service and unparalleled atmosphere. Situated opposite Dorridge Train Station, The Forest welcomes commuters and loyal customers with open arms, offering an inviting selection soft beverages, and of ales, beers, spirits, wines and soft beverages - perfect to take the edge off long working days. 

The mouth-watering new menu has been introduced for the latter half of the year, aiming to create a cosy, intimate dining experience for customers this winter. By installing the wood fired oven in plain sight, customers are able to see their food being prepared and cooked for them, before it is delivered to their tables.

“We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and welcomed by the manager, Tracy, who showed us to our table and served us with a smile. The wood fired oven was visible from the bar, and looks fantastic in the overall setting. Because the whole establishment has recently been refurbished, the oven makes a brilliant addition to the restaurant and its warm atmosphere. I chose the CPF BBQ chicken pizza with sweet and spicy sauce, red onions and smoked cheese topped with coriander and mozzeralla. For dessert I tried the Lemon bakewell tart, which perfectly complimented my pizza selection – it was a brilliant meal and I left with an extremely full belly. The service was second-to-none, and we couldn't have asked for better surroundings to enjoy our food.” - Richard Cornfield 

“I ordered the Thai chicken pizza, which was served very quickly and came piping hot. The pizza had a wonderful smoky flavour – something you can only get from a proper wood fired oven. Complete with fresh, interesting toppings and a thick bready crust, I definitely made the right choice! As I have a very sweet tooth, I also decided to taste the bounty inspired baked alaska, which had a wonderful coconut flavour and was a deliciously rich, tasty dessert. The food was wonderful and excellent value for money, we will definitely visit again.” - Sam Fraser

The seasonally inspired menu delivers lovingly prepared food bursting with exquisite flavours. Unsurprisingly, the excellent standards and friendly service have been acknowledged by accreditation in renowned food guides, Michelin and The Good Food Guide. If pizzas aren’t to your fancy, the wonderful chefs offer a variety of delightful mains, including, but not limited to, roasted wild seabass, tikka hake, grilled lamb cutlets and mouth-watering fillet steak on the bone. 

Not only does The Forest Hotel serve popular new additions to its menu, but also offers gourmet sandwiches inspired by authentic Italian flavours and ingredients and light bites perfect to accompany customers' drinks. The Forest specialises in array of desserts, from sweet banoffee sundaes to a wonderful British cheese selection for those that prefer a savoury option.
