MCM Birmingham Comic Con returned to the NEC this for another fun-filled celebration of geeky goodness!

Two days of movies, sci-fi, comics, cosplay, anime and gaming, Birmingham Comic Con was brought to the Midlands by the team behind MCM London Comic Con, the third largest comic convention in the world.

This year's guests included Michael Rooker (Walking Dead & Guardians of the Galaxy), Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), Mark Sheppard (Supernatural), the voice actors behind the Uncharted & Overwatch video games, but to name a few!

Attendees were able to attend a Comic Village packed with artists and writers, get hands on with great games and watch on-stage panels and check out the colourful costumes of the Cosplay Masquerade. For visitors that fancied a break, a KidsZone was available to keep the little ones entertained! There was tons of fun to be had for little superheroes over the weekend, with free face-painting stalls and lightsaber training sessions!

"Our aim is simple: to bring together comic creators of all styles, mediums, and levels to join together in one equal space to celebrate what we love." - Comic Con Official

MCM Comic Con also incorporates Memorabilia, the UK's leading collector’s show, every year. Memorabilia featured a sparkling line-up of film stars, sci-fi favourites and TV personalities, as well as more exhibitors than you could shake a lightsaber at.

We attended the event over the Comic Con weekend, and saw tons of exciting fan art, celebrities and fabulous costumes! As always, the Comic Con event was spectacularly organised, with something for everyone. Artists at the Comic Village included local artist **Sarah***, owner of Inspired Kollektions in **. With interactive panels and open discussions, visitors were able to gain insight into the ideas behind the art and request commissions from talented independent artists. Signed art work and prints was available at several stalls for fans to enjoy!

Dealer stalls gave visitors the chance to buy the very best from the worlds of Anime, Manga, Comics, Action Figures and Trading Cards. Unique items alongside worldwide favourites were sold over the weekend - bringing together the UK's top merchandise dealers.

Photo sessions and autograph signings were available from Birmingham Comic Con's special guests, who took audiences' questions in fantastic theatre panel events! The pop-culture pros talked everything from behind the scenes gossip to teasing upcoming plots!

Smack bang in the middle of the MCM Birmingham show floor was the MCM live stage, where visitors could get up close and personal with special guests as they answered audiences' burning questions. Leading the fun were hosts Two Geeky Guys and cosplayer extraordinaire Tabitha Lyons.
